Medida del impuesto a las ventas de Go Sonoma Transportation

Manteniendo al Condado de Sonoma en movimiento para ti – La SCTA está colocando una medida en la boleta electoral para extender los fondos del actual impuesto a las ventas de la Medida M sin incrementar el porcentaje de impuesto a las ventas existente. Si la ley Go Sonoma Act es autorizada por los votantes, la SCTA empezaría a trabajar en nuevos proyectos de inmediato.

Se propone una renovación para continuar con las mejoras locales

A principios de este verano, la Junta Directiva de la Autoridad en el Transporte del Condado de Sonoma (Sonoma County Transportation Authority, o SCTA) votó para poner una medida en la boleta electoral para extender y renovar los fondos del impuesto a las ventas de la Medida M por otros 20 años, sin incremento al impuesto a las ventas ya existente.

Medida M

Más de $300 millones invertidos en el transporte del Condado de Sonoma – En 2004, los votantes del Condado de Sonoma aprobaron la Medida M, un impuesto a las ventas de 1⁄4 de centavo por 20 años, del que se han invertido cientos de millones de dólares en la ampliación de la autopista Hwy 101 a su paso por el Condado de Sonoma, en el mejoramiento de caminos, calles y servicios de transporte locales y en inversión en senderos para bicicletas y caminantes.

Al ofrecer dinero local como parte de las inversiones, se atraen fondos de fuera – Los fondos asegurados de la Medida M han hecho posible que el Condado de Sonoma sea un condado que se “auto ayuda”, posicionándonos mejor para asegurar dinero federal y estatal al ofrecer también dinero local. Por cada dólar ($1) de fondos recolectados localmente, se aseguran $5 adicionales de fondos de fuera para construir proyectos clave, como la ampliación del Hwy 101.
